The need to sell one''''s home and to buy a replacement home as soon as possible is a real challenge for anyonelet alone a couple in their 70''s.
In our case we were especially fortunate; Michael McClure, a salesman with Eview had recently phoned us to ask if we were interested in selling. It was part of his strategy, means of keeping track of what was happening or could be happening in his ''patch''
Impressed by his friendliness and initiative, we engaged him to sell our twobedroomed unit and to help us find another. Family matters (illness) dictated a speedy exercise.
In Michael, we found an excellent professional: ready to advise and stay in touch without being ''pushy''; someone who? arrange inspections to suit our needs rather than the sudden demand of a possible buyer; someone who had the patience to sit down and discuss market movements to explain about those people who were reading about our unit even if they were not turning up at the Open Inspections.
We also found him to be a firm negotiator when it came down to the sale, and with no regard to his own private or social life when it came down to discussions ''after hours''.
The net result was that we''''d happily so...and bought our replacement..within an amazing 6 week span. It could have been a traumatic time, but it wasn''t.
These days, ''''service'''' is not what it used to be.
But that''''s not the case with Michael: one becomes a central and meaningful part of his life until your property is sold. And he doesn''t disappear once the property is sold. He hangs in there until all of the paperwork is completed and still makes himself available for any further advice.
